The High Speed / High Capacity (HS/HC) project of the Italian State Railways is aimed at the construction of new fast railway lines, strategically integrated into the main corridors of the European railway network.

The Saturn Consortium brings together four technology companies, leaders of the rail industry, and acts as technological partner only with the companies of the Ferrovie dello Stato and against the General Contractor engaged in the construction of the railway lines.

The Consortium develops, designs and implements, in an integrated manner, the technologies and systems needed for the State Railways' HS/HC project, guaranteeing its realization with a view to efficiency and technological updating from the most advanced levels.
